Zusammenfassung: In an era when 50GB of iCloud storage is 99 cents per month, and trim, slim external SSDs are getting cheaper, external hard drives, based on spinning platter disks, might appear less essential than they once were. But modern ones are faster, more stylish...

Zusammenfassung: Most new computers don't come with much storage space -- unless you're splurging on a high-end model, they usually have 256 or 512 gigabytes. Game consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One come with 1-terabyte drives (which is roughly 1,000GB), but if you don't regularly take games off the drive as you acquire more, the drives max out easily. A good storage solution is to find the best external hard drive for your needs. A traditional hard drive that uses "old" hard drive technology (mechanical platters and a moving read-write head to access data) is adequate for the majority of users, thanks to speedier USB-C and USB 3.0 (as well as 3.1/3.2) interfaces. Prices have dropped significantly in the last few years, with even mega-capacity models tipping the scales at 5TB but costing just over $100. A solid state drive doesn't have moving parts and has up to four times faster read speeds, but it costs a lot more per gigabyte.

At this point, I will note that the WD_ Black P10 Game Drive does come at a very slight premium price compared to other 2.5” portable hard disk drives on the market. So, is it really worth it?In my view: Yes.The speeds comparisons over other 2.5” portable...

Rugged, beefy design,Decent load speeds,Option which includes 2 months of Game Pass Ultimate,Various capacities available,Reasonably priced compared to other Xbox branded external drives
Not a huge fan of the white/black look
If you're looking for more storage for your Xbox One console, the WD_Black is definitely a rugged looking, decent performing external HDD drive. While it is faster in some cases than the internal hard drive, it offers similar speeds to other external HDDs...
As much as I love the bright colors of some of Western Digitals other external product lineups. I do really like the look that they have gone for with their new WD Black lineup. The all blacked out look with the industrial or almost military look of t...

Plenty of capacity,Impressive performance levels,Reliable in operation,
Proprietary cable connector, Style won't suit everyone, Not as fast as SSD,
The WD Black 10 is a fine external hard disk drive that's suitable for a number of jobs, as long as you're aware that you're trading the superior performance that SSD offers for a more affordable price. It's fine for storing and transporting games and any...

The styling of the WD Black P10 is interesting, but it doesn't impact much on the critical functionality inside. And, if you strip away that shipping container appearance this is a quick 2.5in hard drive in a USB 3.0 enclosure, or USB 3.2 Gen 1, as this in...
