  • The Kingston SSDNow V+'s results aren’t bad, but better drives are available for the same kind of money. The inclusion of a drive caddy and software are attractive, but when paying this much we’d rather take the faster drive - and one capable of juggl...

  • With the SSD Now V+ 64 GByte Kingston presents a midrange SSD which comes with quite a reasonable price tag. Therefore you get a product which is equipped with Samsungs S3C29RBB Controller which overall in our tables hits the average ranks. Quite a str...

  • Kingston's SSDNow V+ 64GB, currently etailing at £140, is a decent example of a premium SSD in Q4 2009. Blazingly fast for sequential read and writes, small-file write performance isn't so hot....

  • Performs well in real world tests, Performs well in some benchmarks, Runs cool, Uses a tiny amount of power, Looks great
  • Doesnt like random reads and writes of small files, Firmware not upgradeable by the end user, Needs to be slightly cheaper to be competative (At least in the UK)
  • Testing the V+ was an enjoyable process, but it does leave us with a bit of a dilemma - On one hand, we have near faultless real world performance in the tests, yet on the other hand, some of the benchmark scores are quite low, even for a Samsung base...

  • Bundled software and drive caddy
  • Expensive, performance wasn't spectacular
  • The Kingston SSDNow V+'s results aren't bad, but better drives are available for the same kind of money. The inclusion of a drive caddy and software are attractive, but when paying this much we'd rather take the faster drive -- and one capable of juggling...

  • Relatively inexpensive, rugged enclosure, frugal power consumption, fast transfer speeds
  • Low storage capacity
  • We like the Kingston SSDNow V+ solid-state drive — it’s efficient, quick and quite cheap. If you’re looking to replace your notebook or PC’s system drive, this is definitely a viable candidate. ...

  • The Kingston SSDNow V+ 64GB SSD is a fast drive for its capacity. Larger drives from the same series will produce better benchmark numbers, but their cost will also increase. The cost is really the only remaining question, but since the drives are n...
