  • Portable size, Bright, clear screen, Fast startup time, Long battery life
  • Requires an Internet connection at all times, Chrome OS won't appeal to all, Fairly steep price
  • The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook is a well-built, adequately powered laptop that's small enough to carry anywhere. Its browser-based Chrome OS and total dependence on a Web connection definitely won't appeal to everyone, though....

  • Innovative, Insanely quick to boot up, Top notch security, Great battery life,
  • A little on the expensive side
  • To sum up, then, the Chromebook simply doesn't cut it as a primary computing machine. Its need to be constantly connected to the web, and its inadequacy at dealing with situations that don't necessarily crop up on a daily basis, but are still important...

  • Chrome OS is genuinely different, Matte screen!, Nice keyboard and touchpad, Google applications can be accessed easily, Fast to start up and connect
  • Chrome OS might be too different for some users, System slowed down and crashed viewing photos on an SD card, No desktop takes some getting used to!, Google's commercial product strategy / Only 100 MB of storage, Screen isn't well calibrated
  • The Samsung Series 5 is an intriguing concept. It's an attractive notebook with a decent keyboard and it's certainly an appealing product, especially if you're a regular user of Google's systems and tools AND you can guarantee that you're always connec...

  • I'm not convinced that everyone will want, or even need, a Chromebook. But what I saw so far looks to have promise. And with pricing for Samsung's models starting at £349 for the Wi-Fi version, and £399 for the 3G version, the Chromebook looks set to g...

  • Samsung's new Chromebook is admittedly a severely limited device designed for one purpose — providing quick and easy access to online services, especially Google's own online services. It's more of an appliance than a complex multi-layered and powerful d...

  • At only 1.1kg & 17.5mm it's easy to carry, Good clicky feel and travel for a Chiclet keyboard, Fit and finish is good for the low price tag, Much more responsive trackpad than a netbook, 100GB of free online storage for 2 years, Never worry about bloatwar
  • 200 nit brightness display struggles outdoors, Online games struggle to maintain framerate, Underside scratches due to low feet height, Limited use when offline, Performance degrades beyond a dozen tabs
  • The Chromebook can easily replace a Netbook if the intended use is primarily online. In fact, the overall experience is generally more seamless with less waiting time for boot ups and applications to start and finish. Battery efficiency is fairly comparab...
