Relativ teuer
Kein DTS-Sound und HDMI-Anschluss
Kein integriertes Mikrofon
Einmess-Automatik funktioniert nicht mit Android-App
The Sonos Playbase continues the company's philosophy of making easy-to-use and good-sounding speakers in an attractive package. But, due to the lack of support for many surround sound formats, artificial sounding processing and ecosystem lock-in, cinephi...

The Sonos Playbase is a low-slung sound base with impeccable design and impressive sound. Its bass is even better than the Playbar's, so there's no need for a sub. Sonos' app and other speakers make it part of one of the best multiroom systems available
The wide effect needs breathing room -- unadorned walls, too, if you please. No DTS support, HDMI ports or Bluetooth. If you have a "clawfoot" TV, it may not fit on top
The Playbase adds excellent home theater and music sound to Sonos' superb multiroom music system. Just make sure your TV fits...
High-impact bass, Wide sound field, Great stereo effects, Dead simple to use, Add Sonos speakers for 5.1 system
Limited inputs/ relies on TV audio output quality
Do buy the Sonos Playbase if you don't mind spending a little extra on the best product in the soundbase category. It sounds better than many competing (albeit slightly less expensive) sound bars, it's extremely easy to use, and it virtually disappears in...

Amazingly big, wide sound for a box this compact, Natural, punchy bass, Does all of the great things any other Sonos speaker can, Can be upgraded to a full 5.1 system
Treble is harsh, often annoyingly so, Optical-only isn't very flexible - or even necessarily that simple, Won't work perfectly in every room
If after all of this you're left with the question of whether the PlayBase sounds better or worse than the PlayBar, the answer is that I can't tell you - and that's by design. Sonos doesn't want you to choose between the two TV speakers on sound quality...
Impressively big, wide soundstage, Stylishly minimalist and sturdy build, Can be part of multi-room and surround systems,
Harsh treble detracts from sonic strengths, Setup by the single optical input can be fiddly, Lacks high-res audio support,
If you're eyeing up a Sonos Playbase, you're probably the sort of person who isn't too bothered about a lack of hi-res support, and that's fine. What Sonos offers is simplicity, style and a stunning sonic upgrade over any and every flatscreen telly in exis...
Fantastic sound quality,Super slim and solid design,Ample bass without sub,Sonos app platform remains one of the best out there,Seamless multi-room integration with Sonos system,Voice control with Alexa or Google Assistant device
Very expensive,No HDMI,Sub sold separately,No DTS Surround support
The Sonos PlayBase is a beautifully designed speaker that offers an option for those that don't have the luxury of a wall-mounted TV, or for those that would rather have their TV on furniture. It delivers excellent sound quality from our initial experience...

The $999 Sonos PLAYBASE comes a little too late to really hit home and strike a chord with new TV buyers, the kind that are statistically likely to add on a gutsier sound system. It's still an excellent all-in-one speaker and if you do have a TV whose sta...

At the end of the day, despite the complexity around which TVs will work with with the Playbase and which won't, SONOS have absolutely done it again with another stellar product. The sound quality is amazing and after switching my home theatre setup (incl...

I have had 5.1 sound for some years courtesy of a Pioneer AV amplifier and Jamo bookshelf speakers and a sub – I love 5.1 for the more immersive feel it gives TV. It gave me a great comparison and what more can I say – Sonos was extremely good for a “BASE...
Zusammenfassung: There was a brief period of time — think 2011 to 2015, where the pedestal-like soundbar was convenient for TV owners. TVs had gotten skinnier and sound had gotten crummier as a consequence. Functioning as both speaker and stand, the pedestal was an appeal...
