  • This 46-inch LED TV comes with a premium price tag, but it's by no means at the top of Samsung's product range. Just wait for the 8000 and 9000 series TVs that will be along later this year. The company's repositioning from budget box-shifter to premiu...

  • Slim and thoroughly specified, impressive images, displays 3D content
  • Everything but HDMI requires an adaptor, 3D glasses are far from cheap

  • Staggeringly slim and elegant, Extensive multimedia and online features, 3D glasses supplied
  • Expensive, Edge rather than local dimming backlight, Quiet speakers, £130 for extra glasses
  • With headline features like 3D and Freeview HD, this is a stunning set

  • So many features! Great Blu-ray pictures. Best remote control yet. Integrated PVR with the addition of a USB drive. Two sets of 3D glasses included
  • 3D is a slow drive through Wrong Town. 2D-to-3D conversion is fun, but when it gets it wrong it's awful. DVD's display softness
  • While 3D is probably one of the weakest aspects of this television, the 55-inch Samsung UA55C7000's abilities in other areas almost make up for it....

  • For now, using the battery-powered glasses and a 3D Blu-ray of Monsters vs Aliens, this TV stacks up and is well worth rushing out to buy for the upcoming State Of Origin series, which Channel Nine will put to air in 3D. And at $2,999 Samsung has really set the cat among the pigeons, with several vendors already scratching their heads as they struggle to compete with the Korean TV giant.
  • On the downside, Samsung need to sort out their remote controls, because at times I was utterly confused as to which button to press. Another weakness is the Skype control. This needs a lot of work as entering text and numbers using a remote control was a pain in the arse. If you want Skype you will have to persevere with the process, because when you do the service is brilliant and the picture i

  • Excellent picture with standard 2D video, very fine detail in 1080p Blu-ray video content, good colour reproduction
  • Internal speakers distort on bass notes, overly sharp at default settings, unnatural motion reproduction in default settings, 2D-3D conversion is imperfect
  • Samsung's Series 7 (UA55C7000) is the best edge-lit LED television we've seen. It doesn't have the deep inky black levels of a high-end plasma television, but its colour reproduction is good and 2D video looks great. The UA55C7000's motion control handles...
